Patient Care Coordinator
We're looking for a person who believes their work should make a difference.
Apply NowMore Than a Front Desk Job
At Fortitude & Freedom Performance Therapy, we don't believe physical therapy is simply about treating an injury. We believe movement and fitness can help people recover, grow, and reach their full potential.
We're looking for an outgoing, energetic, intrinsically motivated, and service-oriented Patient Care Coordinator who takes initiative, loves working with people, and wants to be part of something bigger than themselves.
This person will be one of the most important people in our practice because they are often the first face a patient sees, the first voice they hear on the phone, and the person who helps shape their entire experience with us.
If you genuinely enjoy people, take ownership, bring positive energy into every interaction, and care about helping others become healthier and stronger, you may be a great fit for our team.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is outgoing and naturally personable — you enjoy talking to people and making them feel welcome.
- Is motivated and takes initiative — you don't need to be told what needs to be done.
- Is mission-focused, not self-focused — you care more about serving the team and our patients than getting recognition for yourself.
- Understands the importance of first impressions — you know that answering the phone, greeting a patient, or responding to a question isn't "just a front desk task." It is part of patient care.
- Values health and fitness — you believe in taking care of your own health and want to help others do the same.
- Lives our core values: Serve, Excellence, Relationships, and Health.
- Builds relationships naturally — you remember names, notice when someone needs help, and genuinely care about people.
- Communicates confidently and professionally — both in person and over the phone.
- Has a positive attitude — you bring energy to the room rather than taking energy from it.
- Takes ownership — when you see a problem, you help solve it.
- Is dependable and detail-oriented — patients and teammates can count on you.
- Wants to grow — personally, professionally, and as a member of our team.
What You'll Do
As our Patient Care Coordinator, you will help create an exceptional experience for every person who walks through our doors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and creating a warm, positive first impression
- Answering phone calls, texts, and other patient communication
- Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
- Helping patients understand the process of starting and continuing physical therapy
- Managing patient check-in and check-out
- Collecting payments, verifying insurance benefits and authorizations, and assisting with basic administrative and billing responsibilities
- Tracking and maintaining key administrative metrics (KPIs) to help monitor clinic performance and improve efficiency
- Communicating with patients about appointments, plans of care, and scheduling
- Helping maintain an organized, clean, professional clinic environment
- Supporting the physical therapists and clinical team
- Following up with patients when appropriate
- Helping identify opportunities to improve the patient experience
- Contributing to the growth and success of the practice

You Are Part of Patient Care
This isn't a job where you sit behind a desk and wait for patients to walk in.
A nervous patient calling for the first time should feel like they've made the right decision.
A patient walking through our doors should feel welcomed.
A patient struggling with their recovery should feel supported.
And our therapists should know they have someone beside them who is actively working to make the entire patient experience better.
You will have a direct impact on whether people feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Our Core Values
- Serve — We put others first. We look for ways to help our patients, our teammates, and our community.
- Excellence — We don't settle for "good enough." We take pride in doing things well and constantly look for ways to improve.
- Relationships — People matter. We build genuine relationships with our patients and teammates rather than treating people like transactions.
- Health — We believe health is something worth pursuing every day. We want our team members to value their own health and inspire others to do the same.
The Person Who Will Thrive Here
You don't have to know everything on day one. You do need to be willing to learn.
You don't have to have years of healthcare experience. You do need to genuinely care about people.
You don't have to be a physical therapist. You do need to believe in what we're trying to accomplish.
We're looking for someone who can say "How can I help?" rather than "What's in it for me?"
If you're the kind of person who gets energy from people, takes pride in serving others, wants to be part of a high-performing team, and believes that your work should have a positive impact on people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
